Quick boat ride to the new Blue Crab and Phil’s Marina Cafe- two favorites in Slidell. Beds are comfortable with great, clean and soft bedding. Decor is lovely. Kitchen well stocked with cups, plates, etc.

We had a total of 8... read more guests during our stay and we couldn’t have asked for a better retreat. The home was spotless, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals at home, no one ever ran out of hot water, and we especially liked the heaters in the bathrooms. The pool and deck area are gorgeous, and so tranquil just to sit out there and enjoy some time outside (unfortunately it was a little chilly during our stay, so we opted not to use the pool, but we so wanted to!). There was plenty of room, inside and out, to spend lots of time together, but also plenty of opportunity to have our own space and downtime apart from the rest of the group. We loved the location of this home too, because we had easy access to New Orleans/French Quarter, Airport, but also Slidell, the local swamps/lakes/bayous, as well as Mississippi and its beautiful white sandy beaches.
As far as other reviews had mentioned: we had zero issues with any neighbors (or signs), and the driveway was no issue for a full-size SUV nor a sedan.
I would highly recommend this home away from home, and would love to visit again someday!

  Our experience was a bad one, partly because of the condition of the property, but mostly because of the disrespectful treatment we received from Lisa. In total, we experienced a... read more number of malfunctions that can happen and are not the host's fault, the problem was Lisa's response to the problems we encountered. At first there were several things missing and there was a malfunction with the air conditioner, the initial response was that we don't know how to search properly, after that there really isn't a problem, and even after she sent professionals (who didn't solve the problem) she still continued to say there were no problems. Only after three days and a lot of anger on our part did she produce solutions to the problems. It's a shame, the house is located in a very beautiful place, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there.

Lastly even though we only used two of the four bedrooms the mattress was very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows to accommodate even the pickiest of sleepers!   This house was probably one of the most beautiful houses my friends and I have ever stayed at during one of our trips. It looked exactly like the photos on... read more the listing but those photos do not do it justice. The only way for you to know, is to book this place immediately. Everything was super clean and nicely organized for when we got there. Clean kitchen and bathroom. Whenever I needed help, Lisa was super responsive and was happy to help. The pool was very nice and clean. A pool cleaner does come by every Friday to clean it from leaves and makes sure everything is in proper order. The view from the private dock was amazing too. Sunset and sunrise, the view was great! All in all this place was amazing and I really recommend it to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and private stay.

The only other side note I will offer is that if you are traveling with a walker it will not fit through the bathroom doors. My father is law managed just fine but someone who is 100 depended on this may want to skip this booking. Again this is just info not a judgement on the property at all. It's a great place!!!
