Quick boat ride to the new Blue Crab and Phil’s Marina Cafe- two favorites in Slidell. Beds are comfortable with great, clean and soft bedding. Decor is lovely. Everything was super clean and nicely organized for when we got there. Clean kitchen and bathroom. Whenever I needed help, Lisa was super responsive and was happy to help. The pool was very nice and clean. A pool cleaner does come by every Friday to clean it from leaves and makes sure everything is in proper order. The view from the private dock was amazing too. Sunset and sunrise, the view was great! All in all this place was amazing and I really recommend it to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and private stay.

We enjoyed the back deck and dock. It was very peaceful. Highlight of the house.
We didn’t use the pool.
The only bathroom with counter space is in the master & the showerhead in the other downstairs bathroom faces the shower door, so our parents had issues with turning on the shower without getting sprayed.
Other than that minor issue, we had zero problems and enjoyed the house.
We did believe it to be a tad overpriced.

The cleaning crew left all of there garbage and took up the only garbage bin, so... read more we had no place to put our garbage for the entire week.

The house is beautiful, the location is lovely in a nice residential area. It has a nice kitchen and large space for entertaining and relaxing both indoor and outdoor with great natural light and views.

4pm check in ... with no opportunity to check in earlier or drop off our bags. We tried to speak to her well in advance about this to no avail. The cleaning people were still there past 4pm and were standing outside smoking while they waited for a load of wash to be done despite it being after our check in time. Checkout is at 11am...

Lisa did not respond, not to emails, not to airbnb messages, not to phone calls, not to texts. She was absolutely impossible to reach. The one time she did respond was solely Bc she was sending additional information regarding the key code to get in and other rules she had. She didn’t check in during the stay she didn’t respond even after arrival.

Safe neighborhood BUT it is not the 20/25 minutes she says in her description. It is a 35 minute drive from the city without fail, even driving fast.

The fact that the host left a hefty list of things you can’t do “no red punch allowed, neighbors will call cops, do not make noise outside on the deck at night, no music after 9pm and etc” and could not be reached at any point before or during the stay was absolutely unacceptable. I love staying with airbnb for a variety of reasons but this was not alright.

  Mostly roses and maybe a couple thorns. Overall it was a lovely stay and property, and we would totally book again. This is really a 4.5 rating and can... read more easily be a 5 for other guests if host decides to address the thorns.

Roses:
1. Loved the laminated checkout guidelines that were easy to find and follow.
2. Loved the decor.
3. Loved the patio design and generous outdoor seating.
4. Good entertainment options and apps on the smart TVs.
5. Overall great location. Excellent access to highway.
6. Appreciate that there were multiple games for guests to choose from.
7. Well equipped kitchen for guests who are serious about cooking dishes like gumbo.
8. Loved the laundry and that there was a mop sink.
9. Not many fish in the waterway, but having a fishing pole was a nice touch (smile :)
10. Would absolutely book again in the future, and recommend it to family and friends.

Thorns:
1. Light in upstairs bedroom closet.
2. Garbage disposal is essential and needed in kitchen where there will be lots of cooking
3. Toilet paper holder in upstairs bathroom was loose.
4. Reverse one of the bunk beds such that the ladders do not face each other. The current configuration forces use of only one ladder at a time which makes it tough for guests when that room is fully occupied.

  Spacious and clean. My Tahoe bottomed out driving into the steep driveway. Neighbors had offensive and rude signage displayed about the rental property, however the neighbors were friendly when encountered.
